Xtra Stær

Xtra Stærk Ocean Racing Society is a yacht club founded in 2018 with less than one hundred members. Club's teams race primarily in offshore races, but also participate in the Finnish Sailing League on J70 boats. The club has 20-30 experienced Finnish offshore sailors who have already gained experience in demanding offshore races organized by RORC. In season 2021 the team will operate 3 interesting offshore yachts.

The new flagship will be s/y Tulikettu (brand new foiling Infiniti 52R grand prix yacht) still under construction, but due to race for the first time in Rolex Middle Sea Race on 23 October 2021. Tulikettu Racing Team is coached by offshore legend Stu Bannatyne.

Other yachts include s/y Xtra Staerk (Xp 44) used in 7 RORC races during 2018-2019 with good results including winning Volvo Round Ireland Yacht Race and finishing 4th in RORC Season's Points Championship in IRC I in 2019. The third yacht in the fleet is s/y AlmaVida (new JPK 10.30) to be used primarily for double handed and solo racing.
